Apart from its curiosity about new musical trends, the SPOT Festival is known for focusing on new Scandinavian music. However, this year an American has been included in the programme - Beth Hart, who is playing at the opening night on Wednesday in The Concert Hall Aarhus, and who will give an additional concert in the Foyer later that same night.
- Beth Hart's appearance on SPOT is a result of the international networking which ROSA and the Danish music life must continue to expand and develop to export Danish music and culture, says Gunnar Madsen.
- The initiative has come about in cooperation with the booking company Scandinavian and Sony Music Denmark, which gets the opportunity to present a serious artist - with a recent album release - in Denmark, while we get to present a Danish artist as support on Beth Hart's coming Scandinavia Tour, Gunnar Madsen continues.
As already mentioned, Beth Hart has recently released a new album - "Leave The Light On".
